Jeffery Seymour

Jeffery Seymour holds a BA and MA in history from Jacksonville State University. His major areas of research include the US Civil War, the US South, and US military history particularly the role of the navies. His master’s thesis is entitled William C. Oates: Quintessential Bourbon Democrat and Unreconstructed Confederate. Currently, Mr. Seymour is ABD at Auburn University and needs to complete his dissertation about the Union Navy during the Civil War for a PhD. He is also serving as the interim curator at the National Civil War Naval Museum in Columbus, GA. Furthermore, Mr. Seymour is supported by his fantastic wife Cheryl. Together, they have two wonderful children: Alexa and Jack.
